Privacy Policy

Agent Ready ("the App") helps Shopify merchants check and improve how ready their store is for AI shopping agents (such as ChatGPT, Gemini and Copilot). This policy explains what information the App collects, how it is used, and the choices you have.

1. Information we collect

When you install the App, we receive and store the following through the Shopify API:

• Store information — your .myshopify.com domain, store name, store contact email, country, currency, language and Shopify plan name.
• Catalog data — product titles, descriptions, images, prices, inventory, SEO fields and store policies, read only while a scan runs, so we can generate your readiness score and issue list. Scan results (scores and issue summaries) are stored; your product content itself is not copied into our database.
• App settings — the protocol preferences (ACP / UCP / llms.txt) and the optional store pitch you write inside the App.

We do not collect, store or process any customer personal data. The App never reads your customers, their orders, addresses or payment details.

2. How we use information

• To run agent-readiness scans and show you scores, issues and fixes.
• To generate protocol files and recommendations (for example an llms.txt draft).
• To manage your subscription through Shopify's billing system.
• To provide support when you contact us.

We do not sell, rent or share your data with third parties. Data is processed only through the Shopify API and stored on our own secured servers.

3. Data retention and deletion

• When you uninstall the App, your access token is revoked immediately.
• 48 hours after uninstall, Shopify sends us the shop/redact request and we permanently delete everything stored for your shop — account record, scan history, issues and settings.
• You can also request earlier deletion at any time by emailing us.

4. GDPR & compliance webhooks

The App subscribes to Shopify's mandatory compliance webhooks:

• customers/data_request — since we store no customer data, there is nothing to provide; each request is logged for audit.
• customers/redact — since we store no customer data, there is nothing to erase; each request is logged for audit.
• shop/redact — permanently deletes all data stored for your shop, as described above.

5. Security

All traffic to and from the App is encrypted over HTTPS. API access tokens are stored securely and are never shared. Access to production systems is restricted to the App's operators.

6. Cookies

The App uses only the session cookies required for it to function inside the Shopify admin. It does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

7. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update this page and the "last updated" date above.
